Seasonal / Part-Time / Full-Time Available Expected Availability Nights, weekends, and holidays required Summer season: through September Flexible scheduling available Position Summary The Host Team is responsible for managing guest flow, reservations, waitlists, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment guests arrive. Our hosts help set the tone for the entire dining experience and serve as a communication hub between guests, servers, managers, and the kitchen. What You'll Do Guest Experience Greet every guest warmly and professionally Manage reservations and walk-in guests Escort guests to tables and provide menus Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return Answer questions regarding menus, events, and restaurant amenities Reservation & Waitlist Management Manage Resy reservations and waitlists Maintain accurate wait times Communicate table availability to guests Optimize seating to support smooth service flow Assist managers with floor pacing during busy periods Communication & Operations Coordinate with managers and servers regarding table status Answer incoming phone calls professionally Assist guests with special requests and accommodations Maintain cleanliness of the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas Support service staff as needed during peak periods What We're Looking For Required Friendly and outgoing personality Strong communication skills Ability to remain calm under pressure Excellent organizational skills Reliable transportation Ability to stand for extended periods Professional appearance and demeanor Preferred Restaurant or hospitality experience Familiarity with Resy or reservation systems Experience managing high-volume guest traffic Knowledge of Atlantic City and local attractions Cardinal Service Standards The host stand is the heartbeat of the restaurant.
