Full Job Description Hours:

Hours vary depending on rental events. Non-church rental events have a 3-hour minimum ($35.00/hr). Sunday host events are typically 5.5 hours at $25.00/hr.

Director of Finance and Operations Job Summary:

The Facility Host ensures the church's facilities are prepared, functional, and welcoming for worship services and events. The Facility Hosts report to the Director of Finance and Operations. Facility Hosts must be at least 21 years of age, pass the mandatory background check provided and paid for by First Unitarian, have a demonstrated record of strong customer service skills, has proficiency in audiovisual technology or has the ability to learn technological skills quickly, maintain a willingness to work as a member of a team, and possess adept problem-solving skills. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. Open, prepare, and secure the church facilities for Sunday services and events. Set up and take down tables, chairs, and other furnishings for worship services, meetings, and special events. Prepare worship and event spaces, including lighting, accessibility features, and hospitality items. Set up, operate, and monitor audiovisual equipment, including microphones, sound systems, and projection equipment. Ensure restrooms and common areas are clean, orderly, and welcoming before and after events. Maintain the cleanliness of church facilities during and after events. Launder and store church linens and other reusable event materials as needed. Set up and remove exterior signage, parking signs, and other event-related materials. Provide general facility support before, during, and after services and events to help ensure smooth operations. Other duties as assigned.
