Job Description
The job of a host or hostess is to greet guests with a smile as they enter the restaurant, escort guests to their table and present menus. They maintain the seating chart and are responsible for answering phone calls for take out orders and guest's questions about the restaurant or the menu. Hostesses also assist various restaurant staff when necessary. They should be organized and have good people skills to ensure that guests have a positive dining experience.
