Job Description
Event Host TolHouse - 2.0 Toledo, OH Job Details Part-time $16 - $18 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Food service customer order management Bussing Bar setup Patience Stocking Full Job Description About This Role We're looking for an Event Host to join our hospitality team — the kind of person who reads a room, anticipates what's needed, and keeps the night moving. This is an event-only role, not a regular schedule: you'll work the events we book, supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house wherever you're needed most. One week might be quiet; another might bring three or four shifts. Great for someone who wants flexibility, variety, and mostly day-to-evening hours. Direct Responsibilities Check guests in at events and welcome them into the space Seat guests and guide them through the flow of the night Run food from the kitchen to tables, ensuring smooth and timely service Assist the bar team with non-bartending support — clearing glassware, restocking, keeping the bar tidy Occasionally take orders or relay them to the appropriate station Float between front-of-house and back-of-house, picking up wherever the team needs an extra set of hands Help set up and break down event spaces Represent TolHouse with warmth, professionalism, and presence Qualifications Hospitality, restaurant, or events experience preferred but not required Friendly, calm under pressure, and quick on your feet Comfortable working an irregular schedule — could be zero shifts one week, three or four the next Available primarily for day and evening hours Strong communicator who works well across teams Reliable, punctual, and presentable Able to stand, walk, and lift moderate weight (food trays, event supplies) for full shifts Culture TolHouse is a private social club rooted in Toledo's future — a place where the network isn't transactional, it's transformational. Our events are where the community comes together: art openings, dinners, conversations, celebrations. As an Event Host, you're the connective tissue that makes those nights feel effortless. If you love the energy of a great room and the satisfaction of a night well-run, this is for you.
