Job Description
JOB TITLE
Spa Host $1,000 Sign On Bonus & $500 Referral Bonus, Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, 401-K, Monthly Employee Meals, and MORE!FUNCTION
Spa Host possesses exceptional guest relations and communication skills. They maintain a working knowledge of all spa services, answer questions about the spa and its amenities and manage the spa schedule throughout the day.RESPONSIBILITIES
The Spa Host is responsible for orientating guests to the spa facilities, greeting guests as they enter the facilities, and providing personal guest service. Assist the attendants on keeping the lounge, locker room, fitness center and other guest areas neat, clean, and stocked with all amenities. Escort guests to their lockers and issue robes and slippers. Coordinate the flow of communication by answering phones, routing, and screening calls, greeting visitors, coordinating incoming and outbound mail, responding to inquiries, and providing information about the spa. Ability to open and close spa, checking guest in and out of spa, keeping track of inventory for retail and professional use. Help therapist turning rooms between guests and with spa laundry when needed. Assist Spa Coordinators as needed with guest interactions. Provide confirmation calls to clients who have scheduled services. Update the reservations/cancellations list throughout the day, inform therapists of last-minute changes, and resolve scheduling issues as needed. Approach and educate clients on retail recommendations and spa treatments with confidence and knowledge. Recommend and up-sell services that fit the guests' needs. Help make sure the wet facilities and locker rooms are tidy and clean. Ensure an adequate supply of all guest supplies and amenities within the lounges and ensure immaculate presentation of these items. Escort guests between the multiple spa areas. Ensures complete guest satisfaction. Appropriately utilize reservation systems, maintenance records, and guest experience database as vehicles of communication to ensure guest satisfaction. Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism; accommodate special requests whenever possible; resolve customer complaints; assist customers in all inquiries in connection with Spa services. Contribute to the security of the spa facility by monitoring the access of guests and escorting them to treatment areas. Dispose of trash; bring dirty linens to the proper area for laundering; and stock towels, linens, supplies and amenities in area as needed. Attend all meetings and training required of your department or the company in general. Ensure compliance of daily opening/closing checklists by walking and ensuring assigned areas are well maintained, stocked, and cleaned to ensure high quality presentation and repair of all equipment.TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
Skills and Specifications Punctuality, professionalism and be a self-starter Professional communication skills, both written and verbal Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing applications and reception area experience, particularly manning multi-line phone systems Answer busy multi-line phone system in a professional manner Must be well groomed in uniform or business attire. Must have schedule availability to include evenings, weekends, and holidays Must understand and maintain confidentiality in all circumstances.PHYSICAL, MENTAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry upwards to 25 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area. Manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including 10 key adding machines, computers, fax machines, and photo copiers. Read, write, speak, and understand English. Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations. Respond to visual and aural cues Work in cold & hot temperatures Possibly be exposed to secondhand smokeEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent Prior experience in retail, hospitality or salon/spa industry strongly preferred Experience with salon/spa software and Microsoft office is preferred though general computer knowledge is required Ability to sell and educate clients on products and treatmentsGROOMING/UNIFORMS
