Join the team at The Hotel Hershey, a luxury resort best known for its refined elegance, signature services, and abundant amenities. The Hotel Hershey is situated high atop the town of Hershey and has 326 guest rooms, including 19 Villas with 98 luxury sleeping rooms, as well as 25,000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930's hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA Four-Diamond Award winner. This position will greet and seat guests while coordinating guest reservations and responding to inquiries in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner. Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): Greeting guests upon arrival in the restaurant and seating guests in accordance with their requests and server rotation
  • Completing opening and closing procedures, including cash control and settlement of guest charges
  • Coordinating reservations and seating charts
  • Answering telephones
  • Overseeing service, safety, and sanitation to ensure quality. Responding to guests' questions, requests and concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to operate point-of-sale computer and calculator. Ability to perform mathematical calculations and handle cash. Proven employee/guest relations, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Professional image representative of company image.
Job Demands:
Physical requirements include standing (up to 100% of shift), walking, bending, stooping, hearing, speaking and finger dexterity. The ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work a flexible eight-hour shift according to operational needs, including weekends and holidays.
