This position assists restaurant management in overseeing guest service and satisfaction at the Hershey Lodge. Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): Greet guests upon arrival in the restaurant and seat guests in accordance with their requests and server rotation

• Complete opening and closing procedures, including cash control and settlement of guest charges
• Coordinate reservations and seating charts, answer telephones; and oversee service, safety, and sanitation to ensure quality
• Respond to guests' questions, requests, and concerns
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years of age

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Previous restaurant service experience preferred. Ability to operate point-of-sale computer and calculator. Proven employee/guest relations, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Professional image representative of company image. Ability to perform mathematical calculations and handle cash.

Job Demands:

Physical requirements include standing (up to 100% of shift), walking, bending, stooping, hearing, speaking and finger dexterity. The ability to communicate effectively in a loud environment. Ability to work a flexible eight-hour shift, breakfast, lunch, or dinner including weekends and holidays.
