Job Description

Job Overview We are interviewing for a lunch host / hostess. The hours would be from 10:30am to 3:00pm, 3-4 days a week. The responsibilities include taking phone reservations and placing the reservation in "Open Table". At the beginning of the shift orchestrating the reservations with scheduled servers to ensure quality service for our guests. The candidate must have a warm inviting personality as you are the first person our guests meet at the door. The Hostess responsibilities also include seating our guests as they arrive and then close out guest checks and run batch reports at the end of the shift. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and attentive guest services to enhance their dining experience Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using OpenTable, ensuring accurate seating arrangements Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the menu, reservations, and Restaurant, while practicing excellent phone etiquette Coordinate guest seating to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction Maintain clear communication with the service team regarding guest needs and reservation updates Assist in organizing the dining area, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup in accordance with food safety standards Handle guest inquiries courteously, resolving issues promptly to uphold high standards of customer service and guest relations Qualifications Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with diverse guests Familiarity with OpenTable is desirable but not required Basic math skills for handling guest counts, reservations, and table management calculations Experience with food service operations and understanding of hospitality principles is a plus Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy lunch hours Knowledge of phone communication etiquette and guest relations best practices Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed Join us in delivering exceptional guest experiences through quality hospitality!
