Job Description
Summary:
As the host, you will be expected to own the front desk experience and first impressions of City Tap as the first face people see when they walk through the door. More than just guiding the dining room seating experience, you will be expected to take ownership of front desk organization and flows. This role will be a great fit for you If you are a self-initiator with strong people skills, and can act quickly and calmly under pressure. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Greet guests with the utmost hospitality, provide a personable and smooth seating experience, and acknowledge/thank guests as they leave the restaurant. Manage dining room reservations using Resy. Answer the phone & voicemails and relay efficient messages. Upkeep & cleanliness of all front desk supplies & inventory- including but not limited to: menus, private event supplies, business cards, organizational supplies.
- Can learn our system softwares and become an expert in utilizing all functions (Toast & Resy). Customer Service
- Responds promptly to customer needs & stays calm under high-tension situations. Oral Communication
- Speaks clearly & persuasively in positive & negative situations. Organizational Support
- Continuously upkeeps policies & procedures without needing reminders. Observational Skills
- Can keep tabs on multiple situations happening at once, notice high-risk/high-conflict situations before they arise, and notify the proper parties before things escalate further. Autonomous & Self-Starter
- Knows what maintenance tasks need to be done without asking, can identify new needs and processes to create more efficient work flows. Job Knowledge and Daily Staff Expectations
