Job Description

Mixteca Philly is looking for a personable, community-oriented Maitre d' to lead the door and create a welcoming, energetic guest experience. This role manages reservations and dining room flow while serving as a key connection between guests, the floor, and management. The ideal candidate is tapped into Philadelphia's restaurant and hospitality communities, enjoys building relationships, and understands how to create a strong presence at the door. Must be available
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Key Responsibilities:
Manage reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, and overall dining room flow Build relationships with regulars, new guests, and the local Philadelphia community Communicate with the floor and management to support smooth service and table pacing Maintain accurate guest notes, reservation details, and cover counts with Resy OS Review VIPs, celebrations, and important guest information before service Assist with training and ongoing support for host team
Qualifications:
Previous Maitre d', lead host, or similar front-of-house experience. Excellent communication, organization, and guest-service skills. Comfortable managing reservations and making quick decisions during busy service. Reservation platform experience preferred. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday availability required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and move throughout the shift. Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
