Overview We are seeking a friendly, organized and efficient host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service, making it essential to provide top-notch guest services. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using Toast POS Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service. Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting guests with inquiries and reservations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, ensuring a pleasant first impression. Assist in managing the flow of guests during peak hours to optimize seating capacity. Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to enhance guest experience. Support food service staff as needed to ensure a seamless dining experience for all guests. Requirements Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred, particularly in food service environments. Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on effective guest interaction. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage positively with guests. A passion for providing exceptional guest services and enhancing the overall dining experience.
