Description:
Job Description The Residence Inn Myrtle Beach Oceanfront hotel currently has multiple openings for a part-time Poolside Host. The persons hired for these positions will primarily work the 8am to 4pm shift and must have weekday and weekend availability.
Position Summary:
As the Poolside Host, you will serve as the "face" of the outdoor guest experience. This position is a unique hybrid that combines the duties of a pool attendant, cashier and server, to ensure an enjoyable outdoor atmosphere for hotel guests. Summary of Responsibilities Welcome and acknowledge all guests Manage the distribution, collection, and restocking of pool towels Sell and collect payment for poolside concessions Distribute restaurant menus and answer any questions about the offerings Take and deliver food and beverage orders using POS system Pick up after guests depart the pool area, remove used towels, trash, and return all equipment to staging areas Clean, maintain, position pool furniture Monitor the pool area to ensure guests adhere to safety rules and hotel policies Turn in lost and found items immediately to the supervisor Report any guest issues or complaints to supervisors immediately Qualifications 1 year of experience in hospitality industry in similar position is preferred. You must have a positive, outgoing personality, and a professional image Passion for hospitality and willingness to work as part of an effective team is required Communicate effectively in English. Ability to stand for longs periods of time Must be available to work weekends Job Setting and Physical Demands Employees in this position primarily outdoors. To perform the job successfully the candidate must possess manual dexterity, must be able to stand for long periods of time, have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds, walk frequently, move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, bending, stretching, twisting, pulling and stooping. Working knowledge of the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements.
