Job Description
Host / Hostess (Cross-Training Opportunity Available) Serrato's Steakhouse - Brentwood, TN Serrato's Steakhouse is seeking friendly, dependable, and hospitality-driven individuals to join our team as a Host/Hostess. As the first and last impression of our restaurant, our hosts play a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience. This position also offers the opportunity to cross-train as a Food Runner and Busser, allowing team members to develop new skills, gain additional hours, and grow within the company. Responsibilities Welcome guests with a warm, genuine smile and provide exceptional hospitality. Manage reservations and wait lists using our reservation system. Escort guests to their tables and present menus. Answer phone calls and assist guests with reservations and general questions. Coordinate seating with servers and managers to ensure smooth service. Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance. Assist with guest requests and help create a positive dining experience. Support the team during busy periods by assisting where needed. Cross-Training Opportunities Team members who are interested in expanding their skills may have the opportunity to cross-train as a: Food Runner Deliver food promptly and accurately from the kitchen to guests. Ensure food is presented properly and communicate menu items to guests. Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to maintain efficient service. Busser Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently. Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room. Refill water, assist servers, and support overall restaurant operations. Qualifications Friendly, outgoing, and professional attitude. Excellent communication and guest service skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork and willingness to help others. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
