The Woodshop is looking for a part-time Host / Box Office / Door Person to become the first face our guests see when they walk into one of Chattanooga's most unique listening rooms. This position is more than checking tickets — you help set the tone for the entire night. You'll welcome guests, help fans discover new artists, solve problems on the fly, keep the energy flowing, and help create the kind of intimate live music experience people remember long after the encore. If you're organized, outgoing, tech-savvy, reliable, and genuinely excited about music and community, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Welcome guests and create a warm, memorable first impression Scan tickets and manage check-in using TicketSpice Handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly Help guests with seating, ticket questions, and event information Assist with ADA and accessibility accommodations Problem solve quickly and professionally during busy event nights Talk with guests about artists, genres, upcoming shows, and the Woodshop experience Open and close the box office / podium area Work closely with management and staff to keep shows running smoothly Help maintain the positive, music-first culture of The Woodshop Who We're Looking For Someone who genuinely loves live music and hospitality Friendly, confident, and comfortable talking with all kinds of people Tech-savvy with Apple products, websites, and ticketing platforms Experience with TicketSpice is a huge plus Reliable with money handling and shift responsibilities Able to stay calm, focused, and welcoming in fast-paced situations Must be dependable, on time, and have reliable transportation Able to stand for 2-3 hours during shifts Hosting, event, venue, or customer service experience preferred Schedule & Pay Part-time Consistent Thursday and Saturday shifts Additional Wednesday and Sunday opportunities as needed Schedules provided at least one month in advance $15/hour with room to grow as the venue grows This is a great fit for someone who wants to be part of Chattanooga's music scene, work alongside artists and creatives, and help shape the guest experience at a venue built around live music, storytelling, and community.
