Qualifications Teamwork Bussing Stocking Full Job Description HOSTESS Core Responsibilities Greeting and Seating:
Welcome guests warmly as they enter, provide menus, and escort them to their tables.
Reservation and Waitlist Management:
Answer phone calls, schedule bookings, and give accurate wait-time estimates during busy hours.
Staff Coordination:
Balance the seating chart evenly among server sections and communicate with kitchen and wait staff regarding large parties or special requests.
Customer Care:
Handle initial guest inquiries, resolve minor complaints politely, and bid farewell as customers leave.
Maintenance:
Keep the host stand and entrance area clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
Key Requirements and Skills Communication:
Friendly, polite, and clear speaking voice.
Multitasking:
Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Endurance:
Ability to stand and walk for long periods during a shift.
Teamwork:
Willingness to help servers and bussers when the restaurant gets busy. Summary As a Host/Hostess, you will be the welcoming face of our restaurant, ensuring guests feel valued from arrival to seating. You will manage reservations, greet guests, and coordinate table assignments to optimize the dining flow. With strong customer service, phone communication, and basic math skills, you will maintain an organized workspace and support the front-of-house team. Pay:
$9.00 - $12.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
