What you'll do Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly smile, ensuring they feel right at home. Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times. Provide menus and offer information about daily specials, enhancing the dining experience. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, fostering positive guest relations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area to create an inviting environment. Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, for efficient order processing. Basic qualifications Previous host/host or restaurant experience is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with guests and team members. Preferred qualifications Background in food service or hospitality is a plus. Experience with guest relations and serving techniques to enhance customer satisfaction. Proficient phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries professionally.
