Responsibilities Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, creating a friendly first impression Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring accurate seating arrangements Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize table turnover and guest flow Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about the menu, reservations, or wait times Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area to uphold high standards of hospitality Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their dining experience Support guest relations by addressing concerns courteously and escalating issues when necessary Skills Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment Strong customer service skills with a welcoming demeanor and positive attitude Excellent communication skills to interact clearly with guests, team members, and management Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred Knowledge of food service operations and guest relations practices Ability to handle phone etiquette professionally and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Experience in hospitality or hotel guest services is a plus, demonstrating adaptability and guest-focused mindset
