As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you'll play a key role in creating an exceptional dining experience through outstanding service, professionalism, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Welcome every guest with genuine warmth and enthusiasm upon arrival. Deliver attentive, friendly, and professional service throughout each guest's experience. Manage reservations, seating arrangements, party sizes, and waitlists while maintaining an efficient flow of the dining room and providing accurate wait time estimates. Answer incoming phone calls professionally, courteously, and with confidence, responding to guest inquiries and reservation requests. Coordinate takeout orders, ensuring accuracy, organization, timely execution, and proper payment processing. Thank guests as they leave and engage them about their dining experience. Address guest concerns with professionalism and urgency, communicating any issues promptly to the management team. Complete opening, side work, and closing responsibilities, including stocking, cleaning, and maintaining an organized and welcoming host stand. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of host/hostess experience in an upscale or fine dining restaurant. Weekend availability required A naturally welcoming personality with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service. Excellent judgment, integrity, and the ability to remain composed while making decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal communication skills with a polished and courteous telephone presence. Experience using reservation management systems such as OpenTable.
