ON STAGE PERFORMANCE
From the moment you are in our Guests' view, you are on stage representing Applebee's on or off the clock. Our Guests' perceptions begin the moment they pull into the parking lot until they depart. To ensure our Guests have a positive perception and a great experience: Everyone must focus on delivering the very best service and hospitality to every guest, every time. If you are not directly taking care of a Guest, please help someone who is. Guests should only experience all their needs being taken care of while you are "on stage".Guests should not see us:
drinking, eating, smoking, watching TV, on the phone, having personal conversations, or hanging out. All of our needs must be met 'behind the stage,' or the designated break area, so we are available to serve all their needs. Arrive at your restaurant during your designated work times or be there as a dining guest only. We want to ensure that Team Members who are working are not distracted. We love your company, but please refrain from staying in the restaurant when you are off the clock so that the Team can stay focused on our Guests. If a friend, family member or favorite regular is in the restaurant, please say hello and get back in position as quickly as possible; our guests must be the center of our attention and efforts.ON STAGE APPEARANCE
Your personal appearance is very important to our Guests' perception of Applebee's standards. Please take the highest personal pride in your uniform, hygiene and appearance. Come to work in a clean, pressed and polished uniform, well-groomed and looking great! Our Guests should never see us dressing or grooming ourselves, so please come to work prepared. Help keep our restaurants sparklingly clean and organized for our Guests and each other by keeping your area of responsibility immaculately clean at all times. In addition, never walk past an opportunity to help clean up an area or to ensure a Guest is comfortable (a clean eating area, right temperature, and comfortable noise level). "THE GOLDEN RULE
