Art Cafe SLC is a creative cafe where guests sit down, browse an art menu, and choose from self-led creative experiences. Instead of a server bringing out dinner, our team prepares everything guests need to create and brings their art experience directly to their table. We're looking for warm, outgoing, creative people to join us as Art Studio Hosts or, as we like to call them, Art Tenders. This is a fun, social, low-pressure role for someone who loves people, creativity, and creating memorable experiences. You don't need to be an artist! Your job is to make people feel welcome, get them set up to create, and help keep the cafe flowing. In exchange for one consistent 4-hour shift each week, you'll receive a Premium Monthly Membership at Salt Lake Pottery Studio, valued at $255/month. What You'll Do Welcome & Host Guests You'll be one of the first faces guests see when they walk through the door. Greet them, explain how Art Cafe works, help them find a table, and make them feel at home. Be an "Art Tender" When guests choose an experience from our art menu, you'll gather and prepare their supplies, organize everything beautifully, and deliver their art experience to their table. Help Guests Get Started Our experiences are designed to be self-led, so you aren't expected to teach an art class. You'll simply explain the basics, point guests toward their instructions, answer simple questions, and encourage them to have fun with the process. Reset & Prep Tables Just like a restaurant, we want every new guest to arrive at a clean, inviting table. You'll clear and reset spaces between guests and make sure everything is ready for the next creative experience. Prep & Restock Art Experiences Help replenish supplies, organize materials, prepare art kits, and keep our art menu experiences ready to "serve." Keep the Cafe Beautiful Help maintain a clean, organized, welcoming environment throughout your shift. Light cleaning and organization are part of keeping the experience magical for everyone who walks through the door. Who We're Looking For..... <3 You don't need professional art experience. We're much more interested in your energy, reliability, and ability to make people feel welcome. You're probably a great fit if you're friendly and comfortable talking to new people; reliable and able to commit to the same weekly shift; organized and attentive to details; comfortable working independently; excited about art and creativity; and someone who naturally notices when something needs to be cleaned, restocked, or taken care of. Think restaurant host + art studio assistant + creative bartender. It's hospitality but instead of serving cocktails or dinner, you're serving creativity. ✨
