Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently to minimize wait times. Handle restaurant reservation management using our table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction. Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and reservations. Assist with guest relations by addressing questions, concerns, or special requests promptly and courteously. Support food service staff by communicating guest needs clearly and ensuring smooth flow of service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, adhering to food safety standards and organizational protocols. Skills Proven experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting, demonstrating excellent customer service skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage guests warmly over the phone and in person. Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for reservation and seating coordination. Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and POS transactions. Experience with POS systems including Micros POS or similar platforms is preferred. Knowledge of food safety procedures and hospitality best practices to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction.
