Candidates with 1+ years working in an upscale restaurant are encouraged to apply. Relative/Comparable experience in a related field will be considered. An Old Town staple for the last 20 years, Vermilion is an upscale New American restaurant that features an ever-evolving menu and bar program. With a focus on local purveyors, Vermilion strives to present intriguing, yet approachable dishes while also providing equally thoughtful and personalized service. Duties:

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
• Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus
• Take reservations and manage the waitlist
• Provide excellent guest service throughout their dining experience
• Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
• Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

Experience:

• Previous host experience is preferred
• Knowledge of OpenTable and Toast POS system is a plus
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
• Excellent communication and phone etiquette
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of hospitality and guest relations
