Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Diner Staff member, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create memorable dining experiences for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your customer service skills in a dynamic restaurant environment. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations or seating arrangements efficiently. Assist with guest inquiries using clear and friendly communication, both in person and over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS system ensuring timely and correct delivery. Provide attentive guest service throughout their visit, addressing needs promptly and professionally to enhance guest relations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including table setups and side stations, to ensure a welcoming environment. Support food service operations by assisting servers with delivering orders and clearing tables as needed. Uphold safety standards and adhere to health regulations to ensure a safe dining experience for all guests. Skills Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse guests. Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to create positive interactions at all touchpoints. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous for understanding guest expectations. Demonstrated teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude to contribute to a lively restaurant atmosphere.
