Job Description

Position Summary As a Guest Experience Associate at HIstoric Jamestowne , you will help create a welcoming, engaging, and informative experience for visitors from the moment they arrive until their departure. You will serve as a key point of contact for guests by providing assistance, processing admissions and ticket transactions, answering questions, and supporting daily front-of-house operations. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly and provide a positive first impression of the site. Provide accurate and engaging information about exhibits, tours, programs, amenities, and other visitor resources. Process ticket and admission sales using computerized point-of-sale and payment systems. Assist visitors with directions, recommendations, and general site information. Accurately process and reconcile cash, credit card, and other payment transactions. Support daily opening and closing procedures for visitor services operations. Deliver professional, courteous, and attentive service to a diverse range of visitors. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a seamless, high-quality guest experience. Perform occasional outdoor duties and other related responsibilities as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous cash-handling experience required. Previous point-of-sale (POS) system experience preferred, but not required. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Must successfully complete a federal background check prior to employment. Additional Information This is an on-site position . Employee discount available. Must be available to work Saturdays, Sundays, and designated holidays . Shifts are from 8:45AM-4:30 PM (no split shifts)
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 25.0 per week
