Part-time, Full-time Job Description:
As a Hostess at Mariscos Cancun, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience. You should effectively communicate with guests and assist with seating arrangements, reservations, and inquiries.Responsibilities:
1. Greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly and welcoming demeanor, providing information about wait times and available seating options. 2. Manage the reservation book and seating chart, coordinating with servers and management to optimize table turnover and guest flow. 3. Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus, and providing assistance with seating arrangements as needed. 4. Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service for guests, prioritizing special requests and accommodations. 5. Answer phone calls and inquiries, providing information about menu options, to-go orders, reservations, and restaurant policies. 6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hostess stand and lobby area, including clearing tables, wiping down surfaces, and replenishing supplies. 7. Collaborate with the management team to address guest concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive dining experience. 8. Assist with other front of house duties as needed, including bussing tables, running food, and supporting servers during peak dining hours.Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred, with a passion for providing exceptional service to guests. 2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality. 3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 4. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with professionalism and courtesy. 5. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
