Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Maitre'd / Host to lead our guest experience from the moment they arrive. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring seamless reservations, warm hospitality, and efficient seating arrangements. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience, fostering guest satisfaction and loyalty. This is a part time position, 3 shifts a week, weekend availability is required.
Pay:
This is a tipped position, base rate is $14.50 an hour plus tips. Total Average Earnings estimated depending on hours & schedule worked. Responsibilities Manage restaurant reservation systems to ensure accurate booking and seating arrangements using Resy Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing excellent guest services and guiding them to their tables promptly. Coordinate with the service team to optimize table management and reduce wait times, maintaining smooth flow during busy hours. Answer phone inquiries professionally, utilizing proper phone etiquette to handle reservations, inquiries, and guest requests efficiently. Maintain organized seating charts and waitlists, ensuring clear communication with staff regarding guest needs and special requests. Uphold food safety standards by managing guest flow responsibly and ensuring cleanliness in the host station area. Support overall restaurant operations by assisting with guest relations, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a hospitable atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Qualifications Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems such as Resy or Toast. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette. Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a busy setting. Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and table management. Experience in food service or hospitality roles that emphasize customer service excellence. Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations is a plus. Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests simultaneously. Reach out if you have any questions!
