Host Fisherman's Restaurant & Bar Seattle, WA Job Details Part-time $20.76 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Guest relations Computer literacy OpenTable Full Job Description Position Overview As the Restaurant Host at Fisherman's Restaurant and Bar, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently managing seating arrangements to ensure a smooth dining experience. Key Responsibilities Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival Manage reservations and wait lists using our reservation system (OpenTable) Seat guests according to server sections and dining room balance Answer phone calls promptly, take reservations, and address inquiries Communicate wait times accurately and manage guest expectations Maintain clean and organized reception and waiting areas Assist with special requests and accommodate guests with specific needs Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff regarding table availability Handle menus and ensure they are clean and well-maintained Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant events Qualifications Previous hosting or customer service experience preferred Friendly, positive attitude with excellent communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and demeanor Basic computer skills for operating reservation systems Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Occasionally lift to 25 pounds Navigate throughout the restaurant quickly and safely
