In this lively role, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and positive impressions. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help manage reservations, seat guests efficiently, and coordinate with staff to ensure smooth service flow. This paid position offers a dynamic environment where hospitality meets genuine guest relations, making every guest feel valued from the moment they arrive. Duties Greet guests with a friendly, energetic attitude and provide a warm welcome upon arrival. Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating arrangements. Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about menu options or specials. Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times or reservation details while practicing excellent phone etiquette. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to communicate guest needs and seating availability efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring it reflects the welcoming environment of the restaurant. Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly, demonstrating exceptional guest services and hospitality skills. Experience Prior experience as a host/hostess in a food service or restaurant setting is highly preferred. Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Experience in hotel or guest services roles enhances ability to manage diverse guest needs effectively. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. Knowledge of hospitality standards, including serving etiquette and guest relations, is beneficial. Previous experience with phone etiquette and managing reservations contributes to success in this role.
