dinner host is the first point of contact for restaurant guests. They are responsible for warmly greeting patrons, managing reservations, providing accurate wait times, and escorting guests to their tables. They ensure a smooth flow of service and help maintain the overall ambiance and cleanliness of the dining room.
Key Responsibilities Guest Services:
Welcome guests as they arrive, acknowledge them upon departure, and assist with any special requests or accommodations.
Reservation & Waitlist Management:
Manage seating charts, track table availability, answer incoming phone calls, and book reservations via phone or dedicated software.
Service Coordination:
Communicating between front-of-house and back-of-house regarding table turnover, coordinating/communicating with Buss Staff, section balancing, and customer needs. Assist servers with running food during busy times.
Dining Room Upkeep:
Ensure menus are clean and stocked, maintain the cleanliness of the host station, checking guest restrooms multiple times during shift to ensure cleanliness.
Qualifications & Requirements Positive Attitude :
Must be able to maintain a positive attitude at all times, especially in a fast-paced environment and when dealing with challenging guests.
Communication Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
Multitasking:
Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Stamina:
Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods during shift hours.
Experience:
Previous customer service or hospitality experience is a plus
Pay:
$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
