IN A NUTSHELL
: This is a full-time hybrid position with a primary focus on hotel sales three days a week with the other two days working in guest services. We offer competitive pay with an incentivized monthly bonus program.CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Obtain inquiry information from prospective customer calls and walk ins. Perform inside hotel sales for the property by securing group, meeting space, catering, and corporate business while building and maintaining relationships. Enter rooming lists, room reservations, and updates to groups and corporate reservations. Prepare sales proposals and agreements and send to the customers after gaining approval from the Director of Sales. Conduct site tours as needed. Perform continual sales prospecting of in-house guests. Participate in outside sales calls as directed by Director of Sales. Participate in weekly revenue calls. Make postings on social media to increase presence and followers as needed. Obtain all deposits and payment requirements for groups, catering, and meetings. Respond to RFPs from all sources and obtain approval from DOS prior to submitting. Answer hotel's incoming phone calls and directs them to proper department and uses proper telephone etiquette. Possess a working knowledge of HotelKey PMS system, take same day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Is aware of all all cancellation policies and procedures. Register guests and assign rooms. Accommodate special requests whenever possible. Make keys for guests. Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit card and cash handling policies and procedures. Understand guestroom's status and room status tracking. Know and explain room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates. Use suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel. Coordinate guestroom status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all checkouts, late checkouts, early check-ins, and special requests. Read front desk communication updates and any issues in Quore. Is aware of daily activities and groups in the hotel. Know billing processes and how to post charges to guest, master, and ledger accounts. Maintain safety and security practices, have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures. Perform other duties as assigned, that the associate is capable of performing. Responsible for cash handling and the amount of money in the front desk drawer.What we need from you:
