Job Description

Front Desk Agent and Night Auditor Comfort Inn & Suites in the Yuma Foothills is searching for Front Desk Agents. A Front Desk Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests and checking guests out of the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service. Apply in person and serious candidates only please. Fulltime (30-40 hours/week) and Part-time (as needed, up to 28 hours/week) positions available. Starting hourly wage is $15.50/hr or more depending on experience. Candidates with prior experience with premium hotel brands will receive higher pay rate and hiring bonus. Must be reliable and willing to work flexible schedule, weekends, holidays, etc.
A day in the life:
Greet guests and complete the registration process to include, but not limited to, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirmation of guest information and room rate, selection of rooms, coding electronic keys, providing a welcome packet and ensuring guest knows location of room. Assist guests with check-out including, but not limited to, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information including, but not limited to, room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area and other general product knowledge and answer guest questions and inquiries, Create room reservations and respond to guest inquiries regarding reservation. Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and to maximize room occupancy Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner Field guest complaints, conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction Count the number of rooms occupied on the rack or computerized Expected Arrivals Report. Block rooms and insert the room number assigned on the Expected Arrivals Report. Ensure that guests' last name, check-in and check-out dates have been posted. Review the Housekeeping Report to ensure that it conforms to the rack or in-house guest list. Review all check-out folios to ensure a zero balance and that approval codes have been posted for all credit card vouchers. Notify Housekeeper of all stay overs and late or early check-outs. Contact any guests who were scheduled to check out, but have not done so, by noon and determine their revised check-out date (AM clerk). Replenish front desk supplies. Check the front desk and surrounding public area for cleanliness and order. Other duties as assigned. Skills you'll need: High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred but no required Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must have office level computer skill and typing skills. Attention to detail. Prior hotel front desk experience preferred. Prior mid-scale hotel experience highly desirable. Ability to stand/walk for majority of the shift. Prior mid-scale hotel experience preferred. Ability to follow written or verbal instructions. Ability to follow safety procedures.
Benefits and Rewards:
Starting wage is $15.50/hr or more depending on experience.
