Job Description
As a Front Desk Agent at our large hotel, you would be required to regularly interact with people in a positive manner. We are looking for an employee that enjoys working with the public and will be ready to assist our guests with a smile. You would also need to be very organized, able to easily move from one task to another, and be self motivated to complete daily tasks. Below is a brief list of the general duties of a front desk agent.
- Sell, register, and assign rooms to guests.
- Audit individual reservations and group blocks for accuracy of information and billing.
- Promote hotel facilities and services.
- Calculate bills, collect payments and maintain cash bank according to policies.
- Post charges to guest accounts: room service, food, liquor and telephone.
- Assess and prep daily reservations for arrival.
- Assist guests with any reasonable requests or queries.
- Provide luggage handling services to and from rooms when needed.
- Direct customers to their needed areas and be able to cross-sell hotel amenities.
- Manage room inventory in coordination with other departments.
