Job Description
Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Qualifications Should be able to take reservations in person and over the phone Know and follow cancellation procedures and relocation procedures when necessary May be required to work varying schedules to include: morning, afternoon shifts, weekends and holidays Someone who enjoys working as and being part of a team that provides great experiences for our guests and follows managements policies and procedures. Prior hotel front desk experience is preferred but not required Valid food handler license Responsibilities Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel. Answering the phone to assist guests Assist in pre-registration and coding room keys Have knowledge of creating and cancelling reservations Promptly, accurately and efficiently know how and where to post all charges Have complete working knowledge of front office computer including all daily operations and those which are not performed often Accurately manage payments using third party virtual cards and customer credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges correctly. Review any reservations with special requests and work to move rooms accordingly Have knowledge of hotel rates, discounts, policies and how to handle each Coordinate with management, housekeeping, and maintenance for room quality issues, guest complaints, and early arrivals or late departures Notate any and all guest issues or special requests in the system on account Logging all packages, vendors, lost and found items, and lock box information accurately and timely Opening and closing till to account for proper drawer amount Cleaning of lobby, bathroom, breakfast room, and kitchen area Restocking guest room supplies at front desk including pool towels Stocking of breakfast items for following day Cooking or prepping food and beverages for breakfast Maintaining a professional appearance and hygiene at all times
