We are seeking friendly, reliable Front Desk Associates to help deliver exceptional, 5-Star guest experiences in one of the most stunning alpine destinations in California. Located in beautiful Hope Valley, Desolation Hotel features 27 private cabins, a small campground, luxury yurts and two restaurants, offering guests a peaceful and elevated mountain escape. This is a great opportunity to join a professional hospitality team in a positive, supportive, and engaging work environment. Position Summary Front Desk Associates serve as the first point of contact for our guests and play a key role in ensuring a seamless and memorable stay from reservation to checkout. We offer part-time and full-time positions, with day and evening shifts available, and a collaborative workplace under experienced new management. Key Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide a professional, welcoming check-in and check-out experience Answer phone calls and respond to guest emails promptly and courteously Take, modify, and manage guest reservations Provide property information, local recommendations, and personalized guest assistance Deliver consistent 5-Star customer service and resolve guest concerns with professionalism Process payments accurately, including cash and credit card transactions Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and management teams Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Assist with administrative and operational tasks as needed Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Prior hotel or customer service experience preferred (training provided) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, professional, and guest-focused demeanor Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using computers, reservation systems, phones, and email Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compensation & Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) retirement plan $15/month phone stipend Health and Dental Insurance (Full-time only) Employees also enjoy: Competitive pay Employee discounts on restaurant meals Flexible scheduling with day and evening shifts Opportunities for growth, cross training and advancement A great work environment under supportive new management The opportunity to work in a breathtaking mountain setting Typical Shift Times AM Front Desk shifts have a 6:45am start time and an approximate 3pm end time PM Front Desk shift have 1-2pm start time and a9:30pm end time All shifts receive a 30-minute lunch If you are interested in joining a positive, energetic team that works in a beautiful mountain setting, please apply!
