Palm Springs, CA Pay:
Starting at $23.00 per hour (DOE) Be the First Impression That Guests Remember The Cole Hotel is looking for a friendly, professional, and service-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. As the face of our hotel, you'll be responsible for welcoming guests, ensuring smooth arrivals and departures, resolving guest concerns, and working collaboratively with all departments to provide an outstanding stay. Responsibilities Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm. Complete guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently while ensuring accuracy. Answer and direct incoming phone calls using proper telephone etiquette. Manage reservations, room assignments, modifications, and cancellations. Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns with professionalism and urgency. Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure guest satisfaction and room readiness. Process payments, cash transactions, and maintain accurate shift reports. Balance cash drawer and complete end-of-shift reconciliation. Maintain accurate guest information using the hotel's Property Management System (PMS). Promote hotel amenities, services, and local attractions. Assist with walk-in reservations and upsell room upgrades when available. Follow company policies, brand standards, and safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area. Assist with administrative tasks, filing, and daily reports. Support other departments as business needs require. Qualifications Previous hotel front desk experience is strongly preferred. Minimum 1 year of hotel, hospitality, or customer-facing experience preferred. Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) preferred. Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills. Professional communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Comfortable handling confidential guest information with discretion. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web-based applications. Experience handling cash, credit card transactions, and balancing cash drawers. Knowledge of hotel operations, reservations, and guest service standards. Sales-minded with the ability to promote room upgrades and hotel amenities. Excellent time management skills and dependable attendance. Flexible schedule with availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required. High school diploma or GED required. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently use a computer, telephone, and office equipment. Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the hotel as needed.
