Job Description
Position Summary The Front Desk Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel. This role extends beyond the front desk and requires a team-oriented individual who is willing to assist in multiple areas of the property to ensure every guest has an outstanding experience. At Cobblestone Inn & Suites, we are looking for someone who is reliable, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in hospitality. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and hospitable manner. Check guests in and out efficiently while maintaining accuracy with reservations, billing, and payments. Answer phones, respond to guest inquiries, and resolve concerns professionally. Follow established front desk procedures and daily operational checklists. Keep the lobby, breakfast area, public restrooms, and other guest-facing areas clean and presentable throughout each shift. Wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel laundry as needed. Restock the marketplace, front desk supplies, and guest amenities. Assist with operating the hotel lounge, including preparing and serving food and beverages while following all applicable food safety and alcohol service guidelines. Communicate maintenance concerns and guest requests promptly. Assist other departments, including housekeeping, when business needs require. Complete assigned opening, mid-shift, and closing duties before the end of each shift. Qualifications Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn hotel management software. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods. Lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks. Work in various areas of the hotel, including the front desk, laundry room, lounge, and guest areas.
