Full Job Description Description:
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service throughout the entire guest experience. This position serves as the first and last point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming arrival, efficient stay, and positive departure experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner. Complete guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently. Verify payment methods and process guest transactions according to hotel policies. Manage reservations received through phone calls, online booking channels, and walk-in inquiries. Assign guest rooms and provide information regarding hotel amenities, services, and local attractions. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and complaints. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guest rooms are ready and issues are addressed promptly. Maintain accurate guest records, reservations, payments, and room assignments. Assist with group reservations and special accommodations for VIP guests. Promote and upsell hotel amenities, room upgrades, and services. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous customer service experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Professional appearance and demeanor. Preferred Qualifications Previous hotel or hospitality experience. Experience with FOSSE, Opera Cloud, OnQ, or similar PMS. Knowledge of Marriott brand standards and loyalty programs. Familiarity with Booking.com, Expedia, and TripAdvisor. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Outstanding guest service and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic understanding of cash handling and credit card processing procedures.
