Job Description
Position Summary The Front Desk Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service in accordance with Marriott brand standards. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for creating a welcoming experience, managing check-in/check-out processes, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their stay. Key Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests in a professional, friendly, and timely manner Perform efficient check-in and check-out procedures Verify guest information, assign rooms, and process payments Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local attractions Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness Handle cash, credit card transactions, and daily balancing procedures Follow Marriott brand standards and operational procedures at all times Ensure lobby and front desk areas are clean, organized, and presentable Promote Marriott Bonvoy membership and brand loyalty programs Qualifications Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred (Marriott experience a plus) Familiarity with hotel PMS systems (Lightspeed) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Basic computer and cash-handling skills Availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays High school diploma or equivalent required Core Competencies Guest service excellence Attention to detail Problem-solving and conflict resolution Team collaboration Time management and organization Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally Manual dexterity for computer and phone operations What We Offer Competitive pay Marriott travel discounts (Marriott Bonvoy) Opportunities for career growth and advancement Training and development programs
