Job Description
We are looking for a front desk clerk with exceptional customer service skills. You will be the "face" of the company for all visitors and are responsible for the first impression we will make. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. Competence in dealing with complaints and giving information as well as a customer-oriented approach are essential. The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while on our premises.
Schedule:
Applicant must be able to work 2 day shifts (8:00am - 4:00pm) and 3 evening shifts (1:00pm - 9:00pm)SATURDAYS ARE REQUIRED.
Responsibilities Greet guests and patrons as they arrive Manage the registration process Ask for identification and ensure that the provided credentials are accurate Handle guest check-ins and check-outs appropriately Operate resort switchboard, take calls and provide information and transfer calls Manage accurate accounting of all rooms Provide guests with room keys Take reservations over the telephone, through emails and in person Answer queries regarding the resort's services, charges and travel directions Refer guests to appropriate departments to resolve complaints or provide suggestions Compute bills and take payments Provide guests with directions around the resort Contact housekeeping and maintenance departments when a problem is reported Explain appropriate use of keys and ensure that guests are satisfied with the rooms allotted to them Balance cash at the end of the shift and generate accounting reports for the benefit of the next shift Requirements- 1 year or more experience as front desk representative or agent or relevant position
- Familiarity with the use of office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.)
- Thorough knowledge of customer service, time management and basic bookkeeping procedures
- Proficient in English (oral and written)/ Bi-lingual a plus
- Knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Strong communication and people skills
- Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Good problem-solving skills
- High School diploma; additional qualifications will be a plus
