Job Description
The Grove Inn and Suites is seeking friendly, dependable, and service-focused individuals to join our front desk team. These are part-time positions with various shift options, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and being part of a community-focused hospitality environment. Position Overview Front Desk Staff serve as the first point of contact for guests and play an important role in providing a smooth, friendly, and professional hotel experience. Responsibilities include assisting with check-ins and check-outs, answering guest questions, handling reservations, supporting daily front desk operations, and helping ensure guests feel comfortable and cared for throughout their stay. Shift Options Part-time positions are available with various shift options, including daytime, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts. Flexibility is preferred, and schedules may vary based on hotel needs, occupancy, and guest activity. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner and provide helpful service throughout their stay.
- Assist with guest check-ins, check-outs, reservations, room assignments, and billing questions.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries regarding rooms, rates, amenities, directions, and local information.
- Process payments, maintain accurate records, and follow cash handling and front desk procedures.
- Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance to help ensure rooms and common areas are clean, ready, and guest needs are addressed.
- Monitor the front desk, lobby, and guest activity to support a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Respond to guest requests, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, escalating issues when needed.
- Help maintain the front desk area, breakfast/lobby spaces as assigned, and general hotel presentation.
- Complete shift reports, communicate important updates to management and team members, and assist with other duties as needed. Qualifications
- Friendly, dependable, and professional with a strong commitment to guest service.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, remain calm during busy periods, and work independently.
- Comfort using computers, phones, email, and basic office or reservation systems.
- Attention to detail and willingness to follow procedures accurately.
- Prior customer service, hospitality, front desk, or cashier experience is helpful but not required.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and available to work assigned shifts, including some weekends and holidays as needed. What We Offer
