JOBSUMMARY
TheFront Desk Agent is responsible for ensuring that our Inn at 500 Capitol guestservice standards are met and for seeking out the opportunity to provide eachguest with a very special experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily front officeoperations while adhering to AAA-rated 4 Diamond, 5-Star service standards andthe Inn at 500 Capitol.
- Continually ensure the proactivechecking of reservations to ensure all services are delivered and any potentialissues are prevented.
- Welcome and serve guests in personand over the phone in a professional and friendly manner
- Provideassistance to guests by asking questions and offering personalizedrecommendations.
- Check-in andcheck-out procedures
- Take guest reservations over thephone and in person
- Take in-bound calls and transferwithin the property as designated.
- Handle cash,credit and debit card transactions
- Handle all guest complaints andissues promptly. Contact department heads as needed.
- Assess daily printed reports and actaccording to daily operational needs.
- Provide luggageor valet assistance, when required.
- Complete each shift with a report tothe oncoming shift- communicate any relevant information.
- Assure training and knowledge of theProperty Management System - Springer Miller Systems and assist the FrontOffice Manager or Manager on Duty to address any Interface or PropertyManagement system errors promptly.
- Complete projects, as designated bythe Front Office Manager or Manager on Duty, in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure the lobby and front desks arekept clean and presentable at all times.
Address any housekeeping ormaintenance concerns promptly to the designated department head.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the public and other employees.
- Demonstrated time management,customer service and negotiation
- Computer experience required
- Hospitality industry experiencepreferred
- Prior cash handling experience required
- 7th/8thgrade math skills required
- High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
- Read, write and speak English fluently
