Job Description

Blue Buffalo Resort is looking for seasonal help from September-March. End of season date is dependent on Island Park Snow Levels. Opportunity to stay on year-round and advance into management for excellent employees. Primary responsibilities will be Front Desk with some housekeeping assistance later in the season.
PLEASE NOTE
Island Park experiences an EXTREME winter. Average annual snowfall exceeds 20ft. Temperatures are regularly 0F to -40F. If you do not like cold weather we would love to have you apply for our summer season. Island Park is world renowned for snowmobiling activities during the winter, and this is where all of our tourism comes from.
Front Desk Attendant Duties:
  • Use multiple systems to check guests in and manage reservations
  • Manage guest contact & questions over the phone, online, and in person
  • Communicate with resort teams efficiently to satisfy guest needs
  • Assist in providing/facilitating resort amenities: Sauna/Cold Plunge, Fitness Center, Hot Pools, Guest Laundry Room, Fire Pits w/ roasting kits, Lawn Games, etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all areas assigned to Front Desk Staff
  • Assist other resort teams as needed with guest requests
  • Assist with Resort Events as needed
  • Assist with continental breakfast as needed
Housekeeping Duties:
  • Clean cabins in a timely manner using a variety of chemicals and cleaning equipment
  • Assist in the commercial laundry: washing, ironing, folding, etc.
  • Keep guest common areas clean: common bathrooms, sauna, pool house, fitness center etc.
  • Provide daily turn-down services for guests as requested
  • Run housekeeping supplies to guests as requested
  • Communicate amongst resort teams to provide the best cabin results possible
Additional Duties:
  • Assist with snow removal using snow blowers and hand shovels if needed
  • Answer after hours phone calls as assigned
  • Light maintenance assistance: resetting breakers, checking hot tub/pool chemicals, changing batteries, etc.
Employees must live on-site at Blue Buffalo Resort and be available for on-call assistance for guests on assigned days. End of Season Bonus will be paid out if employees are present for all assigned weekends and holidays. Blue Buffalo Resort is not able to accommodate J1 or H2B visas for this position.
