Job Description

The Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the Front Desk.
Specific duties include:
Always greet every guest with a smile and ask what you can do for them. Provide superior guest service always. Ability to defuse and resolve potential and real challenges with guest issues . No guest should ever leave the hotel without wanting to return. (refer to guest complaint resolution procedures) Checking in guests, checking out guests. Reservations, guest inquiries, concierge services, billing/guest accounting. Preform the Guest "Courtesy Calls" and try to call as many guests as possible within 45 minutes after check in. Refer to courtesy call sheet. Handle all third party (OTA) reservations and check in procedures. Exhibit leadership qualities in the absence of management. Front Desk Agent acts as Manager on Duty when Manager is not present. Work closely and harmoniously with all department heads within the property and with corporate personnel when required. Insure that all WNW Management policies are adhered to and provide resolutions when necessary. Work closely with sales managers when requested. Fill out Sales Lead sheets for potential business. Possess ability to deal with potential clients by being knowledgeable on hotel services and rates. Follow the 5/10/15 foot rule at all time. Flexibility required when requested to work in cases of emergencies. Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor may be required to cover additional shifts when it is needed. Always wear appropriate uniform as prescribed by company policy and maintain personal cleanliness Maintain an active posture in total property operations and perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Balances and audits for accuracy room revenue, telephone revenue and miscellaneous income; prepares all reports relevant to daily revenue.
  • Balances and audits for accuracy all room and tax charges, cashier's reports, and guest and house accounts. Balances all credit cards, reviews account balance report of all in-house guests and gets proper credit authorization.
  • Completes and transmits daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents; prepares customer tracking report, market segmentation report, and any other auditing report necessary to ensure the accurate accounting of hotel revenues.
  • Communicates with hotel management as necessary to resolve accounting discrepancies and to request or provide information.
  • All cash guests must have proper credit
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience/Education 1-3 years Hotel Front Desk experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in hotel of similar size and stature. Computer Skills Basic computer skills required including knowledge of the Microsoft Office products. Ability to adapt to new systems. Experience with various point of sale systems. Math Ability Able to perform basic to complex math problems. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
