Hyatt Regency San Francisco is seeking a professional, welcoming, and service-focused Front Office Host to join our Front Office team. This position serves as a primary point of contact for guests and plays an important role in creating a warm, polished, and efficient arrival and departure experience.

The Front Office Host supports guest check-in and check-out, answers guest questions, provides hotel and local information, and assists with general front office and lobby operations. The ideal candidate is courteous, detail-oriented, and able to provide calm, attentive service in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and provide a professional farewell upon departure.

Assist guests with the check-in and check-out process in accordance with hotel procedures.

Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, amenities, hours of operation, and local area information.

Provide accurate information about transportation options, nearby attractions, dining, shopping, and San Francisco points of interest.

Support the front desk team with guest service needs, lobby assistance, and general front office operations.

Handle guest questions, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and care.

Assist with room assignments, key issuance, folio review, and related front office tasks as directed.

Communicate guest preferences, service requests, VIP notes, and operational updates to the appropriate departments.

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office and lobby area.

Support group arrivals, high-volume check-in periods, and special guest arrivals as assigned.

Work closely with Front Desk, Guest Services, Bell, Concierge, Housekeeping, Security, and other hotel departments to support guest satisfaction.

Follow all hotel policies, safety procedures, privacy standards, and union work guidelines.

Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor at all times.

Perform other front office duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

This is an hourly position with a compensation of $36.06 per hour.

    Qualifications
  • Previous hotel front office, guest services, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and guest service skills.
  • Professional appearance, positive attitude, and warm hospitality presence.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to respond appropriately to guest needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems and basic computer skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of San Francisco attractions, transportation, and local area information preferred.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work within the scope of a union position and assigned duties.
