Job Description

This role is ideal for a friendly, responsible person who likes to work with the public and enjoys being part of a team. As a Front Desk Clerk, you can look forward to assisting customers by providing information about our hotel, offering local suggestions and being our guests main point of contact. Ideally, you will be technologically inclined and able to use various computer software programs.
Responsibilities:
Check in and check out guests, resolve any issues, answer questions and perform other duties as requested by the hotel manager or supervisor; Greet guests; Handle all types of customer service situations; Check guests in and out according to established policies and procedures; Direct and escort guests to their rooms according to flow sheets; Arrange for guest services such as room service or valet parking; Prepare reports/statements for billing department according to established procedures; Reconcile cash receipts with guest computer print-outs; Issue credit memo to guest either on-line through a terminal or manually; File cash received daily into the safe or vault in accordance with hotel procedures. Additional responsibilities may be asked by the General Manager, with the possibility of advancement in an ever growing hotel organization.
