Job Description

FRONT DESK AGENT
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Brunswick MD is seeking customer service individuals to become part of our Front Desk Team . Must be reliable, dependable and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with a smile. Must be flexible with the ability to work both morning and evening shifts, as well as every weekend and holidays. Must have a friendly, outgoing and positive personality.

Responsibilities:
Welcome all guests in a friendly, prompt and a professional manner and respectful at all times. Check-in guest, issue room keys, provide hotel information services and room location. Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner. Process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established hotel procedures. This includes but is not limited to posting all guest charges, completing cashier and other reports, preparing deposits and counting and securing the assigned bank. Respond to guest complaints and ensure that appropriate actions have been taken to provide guest with total satisfaction during their stay. Book guest reservations/group reservations either by phone or in person. Process cancellations, and provide updates and changes as needed. Knowledge of OPERA a PLUS. Promote teamwork and quality of service through daily communications and coordination with all departments. Perform other duties as needed including guest room tours, special guest requests, hotel and local area information, breakfast duties, laundry & lobby. If applying only for part time position, the availability needed is only on the weekends (must be available for both the AM and PM shifts).

Requirements:
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently Must be reliable, dependable and trustworthy Every Saturday and Sunday is required if applying. Physical aspects of the job including bending, climbing, standing, reaching, and walking for up to 100% of the workday and lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs. This position requires to be standing during your entire shift.
