Job Description

FRONT DESK DESCRIPTION
Reports to: Front Desk Manager |
FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Part-Time
POSITION OVERVIEW A
front desk team member is conscientious, friendly and responsible for welcoming guests, managing online and telephone reservations, verifying guests' payment methods during check-in as well as being the front line for representing Alpen Bluffs Outdoor Resort as whole, Front Desk Team Members have a pleasant and professional disposition with guests and other resort Team Members. To be successful as a Front Desk Team Member, you should provide guests with general information about the resort and surrounding area, and stay up to date on attractions that may be of interest to guests.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Checking guests in and out Tending to guests' complaints and questions and providing exceptional guest experiences Ensuring the front desk and reception area is kept clean and organized. Performing administrative duties such as filing and updating records, among others, as needed Receiving and managing reservations made online and over the telephone. Verifying guests' payment methods during check-in. Assigning sites, cabins or yurts to guests and informing them of any specials or social events offered by the resort. Monitor and restock inventory for Alpen Grab and Go Assists guests with reservations for onsite activities Makes recommendations for places to eat and enjoy in Gaylord and surrounding area Competes site tours when requested Answers the phones and responds to emails Handling guest complaints and special requests Enters service requests to the maintenance team Ensure that all arriving and departing guests are treated with maximum courtesy and are served expeditiously. Providing guests with any information about the resort. Keeping abreast of attractions that may be of interest to guests. Ensure the credit card system reconciles to daily transaction lists Adhere to the Alpen Market Inventory receiving, check-in, and distribution Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED. Demonstrated previous Customer Service experience Previous hospitality experience would be preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Well-presented and professional appearance. Competency with Microsoft Office. Ability to learn on the job. Excellent customer service skills. Must have flexible hours. Available to work on weekends and holidays
