Full Time, Part Time Available Worldwide Discounted Employee Hotel Room Benefits Job Overview Greet and register guests, provide prompt and courteous service, and close out guest accounts upon completion of stay to meet our brands high standards or quality. The shifts for this position may be rotating however, the shifts will be a mixture of AM and PM shifts and do require working holidays and weekends. Essential Job Functions Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome to our hotel. Use a positive, professional and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information such as our guest amenities and local attractions. Complete the guest registration process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system, confirming pertinent information including number of guests and room rate. Promote brand loyalty and marketing programs. Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guest needs and upsell when available. Code electronic keys. Non verbally confirm the room number and rate in the computer system prior to handing keys to the guest. Provide welcome folders containing room keys, certificates, coupons and other marketing items as appropriate. Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods. Handle cash, make change and balance an assigned house bank. Accept and record vouchers, and other forms of payment. Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using the computer. Promptly answer the telephone using positive and clear communication. Input messages into the computer, daily log book, and send shift update reports to the General Manager. Retrieve messages and communicate the content to the guest. Retrieve mail, small packages and facsimiles for customers as requested. Close guest accounts at time of check out and request information on their level of satisfaction with their room and hotel services during the guests stay. Thank the guest for positive feedback and request they post on social media networks. In the event of a negative response use the ILEAD process to ensure no guest leaves unsatisfied with the resolution or the next step in the process. Field guest complaints, conducting thorough research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiate results. Listen and extend assistance in order to resolve problems such as price conflicts, insufficient heating or air conditioning, etc. Remain calm and alert especially during emergency situations and heavy hotel activity. Plan and implement detailed steps by using experienced judgment and discretion.'
