Job Description

LaQuinta Inn & Suites in Fargo, ND is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and dependable Front Desk Associate to join our hospitality team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in shaping their experience, from a warm welcome at check-in to an efficient and pleasant check-out. Full-Time / Part-Time (Includes weekends and holidays)
Key Responsibilities Guest Relations:
Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently, and verify guest registration and payment details.
Reservations & Inquiries:
Process walk-in, phone, and online reservations. Answer incoming calls, route messages accurately, and provide detailed information about hotel rates, amenities, and local Fargo attractions.
Problem Resolution:
Actively listen to and resolve guest complaints or requests with a professional, helpful attitude, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Financial Accuracy:
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and billing accurately according to corporate accounting policies. Maintain a balanced cash drawer throughout your shift.
Communication:
Coordinate closely with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready on time and guest requests are fulfilled promptly.
Lobby Upkeep:
Keep the front desk and lobby area clean, organized, and welcoming for guests at all times.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or administrative roles is preferred but not required (we are willing to train the right candidate).
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
Tech Savvy:
Basic computer proficiency required; familiarity with property management systems (PMS) or hotel reservation software is a strong plus.
Attributes:
Strong multitasking abilities, a problem-solving mindset, and a dependable work ethic.
Flexibility:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during an 8-hour shift. Occasional lifting and carrying of lightweight objects (such as guest luggage or office supplies) up to 25 lbs.

From $17.00 per hour
