Full-time Position Summary The Medical Front Desk Associate serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative and clerical tasks. This role ensures smooth front office operations, accurate patient scheduling, and efficient communication between patients and clinical staff. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner. Answer and manage incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments. Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and demographics. Check patients in and out, ensuring all required forms are completed. Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments accurately. Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR). Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely patient flow. Handle patient concerns and direct them appropriately. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a medical office required. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills. Skills & Competencies Customer service-oriented mindset. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment Clinic setting. May require prolonged sitting, standing, and computer use. Occasional exposure to patients who are ill or distressed.
